Posted 8 months ago C.I.T. (Crisis Intervention Techniques), has been around for a long time. I recently had the opportunity to go through the training and found I learned a lot and now have other options when dealing with individuals with mental illness. I would like to know how many have received this training and do you think it has helped in your dealngs with the public or not? As for me, I think it will help in my dealings with certain individuals. It isn't for every situation but it is another option for dealing with the people who are having difficulties. |

| Posted 8 months ago I've taken the Crisis Intervention Training and also Mental Health Officer training and I have to say that both classes have helped me several times. I'd recommend these classes to any officer. "Niether fire nor wind, birth nor death can erase our good deeds." Buddha |

| Posted 8 months ago Thank you for this much needed topic. While in college I attended a Crisis Intervention class and conducted a detailed study on teenage suicide. I seldom view this training at our local academy. I am certified to teach P.O.S.T. classes and request you PM me if you have access to a outline/lesson plan on this subject. Thanks in advance. |
