I am not sure where I should post this and if I need to change it, hopefully the moderators will let me know.  There is a great friend of mine who temporarily disabled due to an on duty injury to his foot/ankle that is requiring surgery.  Becuase it occured at a part time job, his full time job is not paying out right now because his sick time has been exhausted already from recovering from this injury.

If possible, check out the donation site for a brother in blue.  There is a more detailed description there and any contribution is greatly appreciated.  I will have an updated picture of Randy when I can get over there and take one (hopefully by tomorrow).

Thanks again and God Bless.

Many members were burned on this site about a year ago with a request for an ill police officer. I personally lost $50.00 and was not to pleased. Responses may be minimal.

Thanks for the heads up.  Didn't realize that happened.  Do you happen to know what the cause of it was? and any suggestions as to where we could go to set something else up?

Without "Randy's" full name, and department No way in HeII would I donate.  I went to the site which looks questionable at best.

I tracked down Mr. Foster's directory entry at his primary employer. That doesn't mean this post is legit, but if you want to know, you can probably call the number listed there which is the main number for Police Services at University of Kansas Medical Center and ask.

Also, the OP's directory entry:

It still doesn't mean it's legit, but calling could bring you closer to certain.

Bessie Braddock: “Sir, you are drunk.”
Churchill: “Madam, you are ugly. In the morning, I shall be sober.”

I understand completely on skepticism.  Randy Foster is a Corporal for KU Medical Center police in Kansas City, Ks, a SGT. at Oakview Village, MO Police department, and an officer for Trimble, MO police.  He got hurt at the Trimble, MO police department.  The number to KU Med's dispatch is 913-588-5030. We can confirm everything.

Anything else you would like to know, message me and I can send just about everything you'd like to know including more pictures of him, but I can assure it's legitimate.

Actually workman's comp with the city of Trimble should handle all medical bills and offfer a settlement when he returns to work. I would suggest a fund raiser or two to assist. He should also draw a small weekly check from the work comp since he was injured on duty with the City of Trimble. I am curious if anyone has check this?

Worker's Comp has covered all medical bill and they are only responsible for 60% of his weekly wages, which as you know with Trimble ( and being part time) isn't much. KU has denied him being able to use shared leave because they don't think it's serious enough.  It's the house payments and other bills he's needing help with.  His car that he was okay with making payments on( until now) he has already given to the bank because he knows he will not be able to pay the payments now.  ( he still has a beater that runs but is to the point of selling that keep his home).  We've also got some other things lined up at work like a garage sale and all proceeds are going to him.
