Posted 10 months ago I am moving to Charlotte NC (Wylie Lake) area in the next few months. Does anyone have information on part time oppurtunities for a retired (22 years) NYS Environmental Conservation police officer ( state police/not a trooper) 58 yoa. | Posted 10 months ago Most of the Sheriff's Officers in NC have Reserve Deputies. You will have to be BLET certified in NC prior to being sworn. The Reserve deputies generally must donate 1 weekend a month to the Sheriff's office to stay active. The reserve status gets you access to their off duty gigs, which can pay rather well.
