California SB 249 will make all rifles capable of accepting a detachable mag an assault weapon in California. This law will also make thousands of citizens criminals over night upon passage and subject citizens to confiscation without compensation. Contact your representatives and insist they vote no on SB249

There will always be those out there that will dress up gun control in a way as so it seems like a good thing.  They can't seem to help themselves as they need to get rid of the guns before they can get their real agenda into play.

I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I expect the same from them.

The information that I have read indicates any prexisting ownership of a sanctioned weapon would be permissible. However that weapon would not be able to be resold or transferred to anyone else.

Guns are like weed. They're everywhere.

Thank goodness it was stopped. If Cali or Illinois passed something like this it would just be a matter of time before it spread.

A small victory for gun owners everywhere.

I hope they begin to gain traction and start reversing some of these bans.

Funny how the only enumerated right that contains the phrase "shall not be infringed" suffers the heaviest regulation. I'm still trying to find where it says anything about hunting and targets.

Not likely to see any ban reversing. Slowdown maybe. And the sunset clauses in some might kick in.
