Posted 10 months ago My department is considering going to slicktops for cruisers and I am looking for input from departments that have one or the other. If anyone has input, please feel free to reply. Rob |

| Posted 10 months ago We have both. There are advantages to both obviously. I do not recommend using slick tops for your standard cruizers. Visibility is an important part of presence. Presence makes the public feel more safe. Slicktops offer more covert advantages, and if your dept is focused on increasing revenue and their DUI processing rate, slicktops will work well. A combination of both seems to work best. Lightbars and full graphics for Patrol officers, and Comunity Policing Slicktops and a mix of marked and unmarked units for traffic units In a world where there are Sheep and Wolves,
I am NOT a hero

| Posted 10 months ago A combination of both is a necessity for being seen and not being seen. |

| Posted 10 months ago Slicktops are nice because they are hard to tell its a cop car. But bad because if you do the red and blues on the inside of the windshield you get alot of bounce back in your face at night. We have slicktops at our dept. but also have full graphics. |
