| Posted 10 months ago Entirely too many variables to speak inteligently on this. You are doing excellently though. You have your BA, and Military Experience. Both of those work wonders. First, research what area you want to relocate to after ETS. Once you have a geographical area narrowed down, start tracking down which agencies and departments are in the area. Compile a list of departments that suit you. From this "Short list" start getting info from them about their hiring cycles, saleries, job openings, requirements etc... This should give you a starting point. As a Vet and a BA Holder, I would say you are more hireable than your average guy on the street. The rest will depend on your character, sticktoitivness, testability, and Physical Fitness. Just becasue you are ETSing does not mean you do not need to be concerned about your last NCOER either. You may be asked to present it to a potential dept. Good Luck! In a world where there are Sheep and Wolves,
I am NOT a hero

| Posted 10 months ago With nine years vested go to OCS and become an officer. The money will be better than being a cop and you are 11 years from retirement. Check out becoming a member of the police reserves while serving active duty. There are part-time police academy's and you may be able to attend during evening hours. Give this some thought. |
