Has any body applied for riverside county sheriff department recently? If so how long did you have to wait before you got the call to go to the academy. What step in the process did you get held up at while waiting for the call?

Did we not already go through this with you?  In an earlier and almost similar in content thread, you stated that you had been in process for approximately three months.  I (as well as SEVERAL others) told you that the process is lengthy and could take eight months or longer up to one year REGARDLESS OF THE DEPARTMENT and INCLUDING RSO.  Did we forget this in the matter of a few days or are we just back to being impatient?  Remember that I said that this is a "Hurry up and wait process?"  This is the WAIT portion of that process.  Applicants may get held up anywhere along the way throughout this process.  RELAX and just BE PREPARED when the next HURRY UP call or letter comes....... Then be prepared to WAIT some more.  Your asking (or axing) the same question IS NOT going to speed up the process.

SkoolCop has this topic and you figured out. I can only imagine you have become quite a pain in the hip (I'm being kind) The advice you are receiving apparently is not sinking in. Let me put it in lanquage you may understand. You are not the only applicant being processed. You need to take a deep breath and relax. If you continue to be a pest your calls will be screened and trust me your name will circulate to those processing your application. Get a hobby or buy a pet as you have too much time on your hands.

I believe you should call immediately and keep calling any and all who may be influential in getting you this job.Tell them that it is God's will that you wear a badge and who do they think they are to put you off like this?Make certain that they know it's their loss if you're not sworn in immediately.Furthermore ,why should you have to go to some stinking academy? Now,get with it and good luck with this new tactic....L.O.L.

EDITED:

You are not the only applicant being processed.

EDITED:

THIS........... You are but one of approximately 3000 to 5000 applicants for the position(s) available.  Should you go on to backgrounds, your B.I. will have several other applicants that he or she will be investigating in addition to you.  This number could be 50 to 100 or more.  Each individual applicant investigation takes its time......... some way more time than others.  You do this to me as your B.I. by asking the same question(s) repeatedly, your application will go to the bottom of the pile and a new pile might find its way on top of that.  Get my drift?  Keep all that in mind as you look for your hobby or pet to keep you occupied for the next several months.
