It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my father Lt. Colonel Carl E. Rodenburg, USAR Reitred.

He died yesterday June 29 from a heart attack.  He was a retired Madison County (Alabama) Sheriff's Deputy.

His obit can be found on the al.com website under the Huntsville section or you can just type in his name. Today is just a brief obit, but a more detailed one describing his life will be up sometime tomorrow or Monday.

We are asking, if you wish to, that donations be made to the Humane Society or the US Coast Guard Auxiliary division 24. 

He wore many hats and did many jobs, but none more important than dad.
