Well I just woke up to an email from my training officer that one of the deputies in my department was killed in action this morning while serving in Afghanistan. This deputy served my department as a school resource officer at middle school. Was recently activated with his unit in the National Guard as an MP last year, scheduled to come home next month. Apprently a suicide bomber was the cause of death. He leaves behind a wife and a couple children. If you would keep the family and the department in your prayers. This is going to be very hard on all the family.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to this deputy's family.  He answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice which will not be forgotten.

So very sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy to lose a loved one but under these circumstances it is extermely difficult. Taken at a young age and with children to boot they will never again get to see their daddy. I will pray for this family and our Brother Officer.

Rest In Peace Brother Officer and God bless your family and friends.

Thanks guys. I will pass along your condolences. We not only lost one deputy/mp but the unit itself lost 3 soldiers in the sam attack and also injured about 7 more. The other two also were from my state and I believe both had small children as well. They were all laid to rest this past weekend.
