Hello,

My name is Nathan and I work for a very small town in Florida that has a very, very low budget.  I have heard that some agencies are willing to help the little guys with vehicle donations and other equipment. Any one know how to go about searching for agencies that may wish to get rid of any used patrol vehicles or safety equipment? We are in bad need of cars and no budget to pick one up at this time. any advice on this topic will be a huge help.

          be safe,

Joined today. First post. Skeleton profile. I am not comfortable with your post. The best advice I can give is check on some grants and if you have a State Department of Public Safety contact them.

Hello Sir, I can see your concern, however my only reason for joining and making this post today was at the suggestion of another. I work as a firefighter and I volunteer as a civilian to the police department. I also run a small business called scotlandyarddesigns.com. I'm the one responsable for the entire image change for the department and I'm still trying to help them as much as I can. They have filed for several grants however some are very competative and its tough for the agency to meet all the requirments considering they are just starting out from being closed down for ten years.

Anyone wishing to give me good info on this topic, I can back myself up with credentials and any department letterhead needed. Any agency that would be interested in donating would not deal with me directly but with a department head. Thank you sir for being the first to reply.
