Posted 12 months ago A long time ago I got suckered in to the crowds, I made some mistakes that have allmost impossible to get a career as a law enforcement officer. since then I have gotten my education and matured, now everyone thinks i'm a cop and i'm just another guy on the street. I wonder if there is anyway for me to get pardoned for those mistakes? I would really in my heart with all sincerity, help make a difference. |

| Posted 12 months ago You joined today and this is your first post not to mention a skeleton profile. Responses may be minimal. We are a suspicious bunch and know nothing or whom we are speaking with. I am curious of your comment which you stated " Now everyone thinks I'm a cop". This sends some flags to me. |

FIrst of all, welcome to PL. Take a minute to look around and browse the forums. The LEO's frequenting this site are some of the best, with years of hard earned knowledge to offer. With that said, LEO's are generally a pretty suspicious bunch. We read between the lines on everything we hear or read, sometimes too far, but we're pretty good at sorting through the fluff as well. Your user name and statement about "everyone thinks I'm a cop" cause the proverbial hairs on the back of the neck to raise up. I'd like to give you a chance to clarify your question/intent before getting too much farther with this thread. Balls in your court.... |

| Posted 12 months ago Let's get some things straight........... You did not get "suckered" into any crowd. Knowing right from wrong, during the course of your lifetime, you made choices of your own free will, what-ever they were. While you do not state specifically what you did, understand that these choices had to have some serious connotations for you to wonder if you could get pardoned. |

| Posted 12 months ago Welcome to PL... but here are my questions: How exactly does everyone think you are a cop? Because you have received an education and matured? That really doesn't make any sense to me. And as far as being "pardoned", I guess you would have to ask a lawyer, depending on if the Law was involved and you acquired a record. I don't know.. your statement is vague to say the least. Good luck to you. "Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives." - Ronald Reagan

| Posted 12 months ago I tend to agree with everyone else here. Your post is very vague, not to mention you have not posted an introduction, skeleton profile...there are some huge flags with regards to your comments. I will withhold any other comments until more information can be disclosed. |

You did make a difference. You allowed those of exemplary character to pursue their dreams while you sit on the side of the road watching. ""Life is a storm.. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes"

| Posted 12 months ago Your screen name plus the line "everyone thinks I'm a cop" leaves me with a very bad feeling about why everyone thinks you're a cop. LE doesn't look too highly on "cowboy justice." It tends to screw things up for the good guys far more often than not. |

I was thinking the exact same thing!! Someone's been watching too much Death Wish. Here's a thought: Change your screen name, post an intro and give us a little more info. Maybe, just maybe, we can give you some sound advice. As it has already been stated, we are a suspicious bunch (goes with the territory). |

| Posted 12 months ago I want to know why everyone thinks your a cop now. That is the first question. The second is what 'mistakes' are you guilty of? |

| Posted 12 months ago Aren't pardons usually associated with HIGH misdemeanors and felonys? Where I'm from, little misdemeanors are usually taken care of with expungements. |

| Posted 12 months ago To the OP, I see you're still around as you've posted in several other threads on here. On the off chance you forgot about this one and the questions posed to you, I'm bumping this back up. No need to thank me.... |

| Posted 12 months ago Uh! I'm waiting also and I haven't been on P.L. for ten days.Guess he either didn't want the initial question answered or isn't pleased the responces did'nt go the way he wanted.DonnaLynn made mention of felonies and high misdemeanors. If you are indeed guilty of these you can always be a politician. If people believe you're an officer I believe you are pretending to be one.Speaking from experience ,once you have been shot at,shot ,stabbed, cut or hit by a car you will THEN and only then know you made the grade. |

| Posted 12 months ago I'm not even a sworn officer but things don't add up. Do people think you are a cop because you act like one when you're not? If you're on the side of law and order then why "vigilante"? With the way you phrase things you do come across as either guilty or hiding something. |

I wonder if he intentionally chose the screen name spelled that way or if he just can't spell among other discrepancies? ""Life is a storm.. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes"

Looking at his post, I don't think it was intentional. Entire original post is one long, runon sentence. I get the feeling that the OP and a dictionary/grammar book weren't very well acquainted. |

| Posted 12 months ago I know it's much more fun to hijack this thread, but has anyone tried PMing him and asking him to respond? This thread wont show up in his "recent threads you've replied to" list since he hasn't actually replied to it--one of many wonderful PL bugs.
