I wanted to share something that has been on my mind for a while. And tonight at work this verse came into my head. "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." Mark 16 v.15. Are brothers and sisters in blue are dying in the streets just about every day, either from a gun shot to a vehicle accident or an illness. Do you know where they will spend enternity at? Are you 100% sure? Because I know there will come a day when we all will go before the Lord and given an account of our lives and I would not want someone to say that I did not tell them about Christ. Seriously just think about it for a second............Your partner or dept friend and you standing before the Lord, your saved he/she is not. What are going to say to that person? Sorry I never told you or I tried to tell you, I tried to show you the way. Would you not want your friend/partner to join you in Heaven? Or are you going to let he/she burn h**** for eternity?

How many of us pray before taking to the streets? Back when I was police explorer I use to ride every week with one platoon but decided to see what others do. I went to this other platoon's roll call and to my surprise at the end I was invited up front with about 6-7 other guys to hold hands in a circle and pray for each other. We would not just pray for safety that day but pray for each other, prayer request, and whatever was on are minds to pray about. How many of us do this in our departments? How many of us take the time and pray for the police officers going out dailey to protect and serve?

It's time we start doing me more for our brothers and sisters in blue. Invite them to church with you, or invite them to your prayer group, or something that will bring them to the Lord. It just breaks my heart to see anyone, but a police officer specificially to die and not know the Lord and that we will probably will never see him again. I say all these things because I lost two friends in the job, one in the line of duty and the other one to an illness. The one that died in the line of duty made me really think about the law enforcement on a spiritual level.

Ive been missing in action due to moving and having limited internet access but  I had a moment to pop in today and I read what you wrote Kudos to you for being so strong in your faith to wish to share the gospel Christ needs more soldiers to walk the earth like you. Many  " christians" fall under the luke warm category they believe in God and want God's promises but they do not wish to share for fear of being judged, When I go out among the public I personally wish for people to say there is something different about that girl...I want my faith to radiate from me and change a life. Your post blessed me tremendously :)

In Life we should experience an adventure that will create a memory worth repeating.....unknown.....

Fate:  What you said about 'lukewarm' Christians is - unfortunately - true.  In fact in Revelations chapter 3 the church of Laodicea was told, “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.''

Christians are supposed to have the love of God in them.  That love should make us compassionate to others on a level that makes us want to tell them about the love of God.  If we do not love people enough to try and get them to heaven, then we have no right to claim to be Christians.  Witnessing to others and praying for others should be on the top of our list everyday - even at work - especially at work.

Kudos to you both!!

 Bump Fate and Whitetm!

So true, Fate, it happens to all of us. We usually think about what others will say or think about us if we say something or act in a certain way. But that should not be the reason why we should not be spreading the Good News to all. So be it if someone quits being my friend or stops liking me, I know someone that will never leave me or forsake me no matter what I say or do.

Agree whitetm, its the first and last thing I do in the day. Pray for everyone and anyone I know, especially for the ones I work with.
