I know somewhat how you feel. I am a non-sworn traffic officer. I deal with people and their cars 24/7. Believe me the cars are much easier to deal with than their owners. Been doing it for more than 10 years. I 've wanted out for a while. Between department and public pressure it's hard sometimes. But don't quit without another job lined up. Times and unemployment are real rough right now.

Your profile does not say much abut you, what kind of job you do now, for how long you have been at this current job and / or for how long you have been attempting to become a police officer (as mentioned) in this current economy.  That said, I would caution you about leaving a job....... even though you may hate it, for something that is NOT an immediate guarantee.  More than anyone else here, I understand the frustration as it took me the better part of 15 years from the time I submitted my first application and 10 years from the time I completed the academy, only to get a non-sworn position for the department that I currently work for.  It wasn't until 2 years later that I was FINALLY sworn in as a police officer.  When you can say that......... Then we have something to talk about.  For now, use the time wisely to brush up on your writing and articulation skills as they will be of real importance as you write reports and attempt to articulate your actions in court.

If you've got stress problems there are options. See if your department has some sort of employee assistance or talk to your doctor.

If you plan on succeeding in your quest, may I suggest learning to speak and write in proper English.  Your posts come across as though you are in elementary school.

Why do you feel that " i will not have enough time to do whatever im suppose to do. Jonas, a little bit of time off will make a big difference trust me"? If and when a dept. decides to hire you they will give you plenty of time before an academy starts.

Your posts look like you are speaking English as a second language.  Having a second language might make you more marketable.

Showing a total lack of concern for how you look in print would disqualify you for most jobs - esp. LEO.  It makes you look like you write sloppy reports.
