 Hello all!

I am back again to pick the wonderful brains of all you LEO's out there!  I am flying to San Antonio tomorrow for testing and an oral interview/assessment with the San Antonio Police Department.  This is my dream department to get on and I am trying to do everything to prepare myself for these tests, etc.

Has anyone had any experience with the oral assessment portion?  Does anyone know what I can expect?  I've heard different things and I've read up a little on it, but I am just curious as to if anyone has any first hand advice/knowledge of it.

Regards,

Noah

Just what type/nature the questions and environment that assessment is.  I've heard different things such as they yell at you and/or try to get you angry, etc.  I am just trying to be as prepared as possible.  Thank you so much in advance!

I have never heard of being yelled at or any "game" playing in the Oral part of an interview but I will ask around.

What day is your interview??

You said in the other topic that you prefer east coast and rural. Two things San Antonio is not. Just thought I'd point that out.

Those are what i'd prefer...I'm in Texas in the military now so if I can't get east coast, i wouldn't mind San Antonio.

Thanks everyone!  It went good, I passed.  It was definitely the most stressful "interview" I have done, but it was good.  After my background is done I come back in about a month or so to finish my poly, psych, and medical.  I've passed all those before so I have no worries.  They told me my written score was above average and it would put me at the top of the list and they will be hiring about 150 between now and March, so I am excited!  One step closer to living my dream.
