Pick better "buddies," What are you doing with a controlled substance any way?

I want to become a police officer very badly but about a year and a half ago i was arrested for possesion woth intent to deliver a controlled substance for selling pills to a buddy who was an informant unfortunately. well i went to court and ended up being one to and ended up having my charges all dismissed. is there any chance of me being a police officer? the officer i worked with told me it shouldnt be held against me and that he wouldnt mind having me work for him because i did so well.

So your reference is that the arresting officer told you that you did well in your own arrest and court appearance? Oh boy!

You would have 0% chance of being hired here. What you did shows an extreme lack of solid judgement and that is something we simply cannot afford nor can I think of anyone who would want that kind of judgement backing them up. Good luck in your other endeavors.

the pills were because i had wisdom teeth taken out and he asked for some. i was friends with him for years but i only have myself to blame for being dumb enough to sell them to him

Had your friend had a migrane and you GAVE hime one of your pills I would say you could overcome that.  Since you SOLD him pills you would be disqualified in most agencies.  As for an agency you are interested in?  Call and axe.
