Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

I have asked, and received  (a new opportunity at work I interviewed for); I sought and found (God's guidence); I knocked, and the door opened (best possible outcome)...

With that being said, God presented what I thought might be a great opportunity for me at work.. so instead of praying that I get this new job I interviewed for, I prayed for guidence in making the right decision, or having the right decision made for me, as to what was in my best interest.  I didn't get the job (found out last night), and so glad because that was truly, in my heart, I can say that was a blessing... God was looking after me, therefore, I sought after and received what I needed and wanted.

It's funny how we find out that sometimes what we really want isn't what God has in store for us. It is a those times, though, that Heavenly Father reveals to us bit by bit what his plan is for us.

Schultzy, That is so true. So many times I didn't get what I wanted, so I started praying for God's will to be done in my life, not my will. His will has always been the right way.
