Posted about 1 year ago Indiana LEO's are going to be put in additonal danger with this bill that is currently heading toward becoming a law. It is a right to resist law. | Posted about 1 year ago Doesn't matter if the bill passes. Our LEO standards remain the same: Probably cause; Imminent threat; crimes committed in our presence, and on and on. Officer safety is paramount. We won't have time to ascertain the finer points of the third party's perceived law and have round table discussion. Things happen quickly on the street. Just be professional. If I am arresting someone and a third party steps in, it immediately becomes 'interferring with my investigation' and THAT person is detain or also arrested. BUMP. The way I see it if an LEO is arresting a suspect and a third party steps in thjen they should be charged and or arrested for interfering. I think people need to keep their noses out of it. They have NO right interfering with Law Enforcement because they don't have any clue as to what the events were or what lead up to the person being arrested.. | Posted about 1 year ago What TheSarge said. I do however see some idiot who will claim that he thought the arrest was illegal so he used a firearm on the LEO. This may well end up causing a LEOs death or that of an innocent. |
