Yes, it's true. You are a good woman. Then again, you may be the Antichrist.

It is an awesome gig.  In fact, Monday I'm playing Virgil again and since we are doing 3 shows I'll be getting "shot" 3 times...LOL.  Even today the debate goes on in Tombstone as to who were the good and the bad with the town still about equally divided between the Earps and Cowboys.  In the gunfight, only 2 of the Cowboys were armed, and they were Billy Clanton and Frank McLaury.  Tom was believed heading for a rifle on his horse when shot by Holliday and Ike was unarmed and probably saved Wyatt from harm by getting between him and the rest of the cowboys when the shooting started.

excop95! What a great gig! I have been there and even stayed there for a few days and enjoyed ourselves very much. Never did get to watch the 'gunfight' though. I am sure it must get pretty uncomfortable in the summer wearing those black coats!

Ya know, the Earp's were nothing more than a gang of brothers who were part-time crooks and part-time lawmen whichever happened to be more profitable at the time. <VBG> Wyatt was the worse one of the bunch but I do understand him hunting down those that were responsible for killing his brother.

Actually it's not bad wearing the coats as they are all cotten and do an excellent job of keeping the son off your skin.  And you are right about the Earps. They were gamblers and pimps and Wyatt's 2nd wife, Mattie was a "lady of the night".  They were all people of opportunity and after the gunfight, etc, Wyatt marketed himself to Hollywood which is why the world is so enamored with the shoot out.  It actually took place on Fremont Street just West of 4th. It was the press of the day that called it the "Shoot out at the OK Corral".  The only thing the corral had to do with it was the Cow-Boys walked through it to get onto Fremont.  If you get back to Tombstone you'll have to let me know as I can get you into the  Corral free and give you an excellent tour and history of the town.

Things got really wierd in Tombstone this week.  Monday I got called at the last minute to play Virgil.  I changed clothes and walked down to the OK Corral in 12 minutes flat! A new personal record!  Today I went down as my usual character, Mayor John P. Clum, mayor of 1881 Tombstone.  At 12:30pm "Doc" spotted me and ask if I could do Ike Clanton!!!  So, went back home, put together an "Ike" outfit and made it in plenty of time for the 2pm show. Now, it should be noted I'd never played Ike and had never even seen the script for him. First show I was horrible, 2nd show I hit most of the majoy lines and felt good about.

From cop to horse thief in 24 hours..hehehehe.  Life is good after retirement.  The only bad thing is I can't carry my brand spanking new S&W Sigma .40.LOL. In fact, I only get to shoot one time and that's to start the show off at the Corral. After than I don't even have a gun, 'cause that stinkin law dog Wyatt Earp hit me over the head and took it.  Damn card cheatin pimp!

Yup and who'd have thunk it that when I retired in 2008 I'd not only end up in the most famous town in the USA, but impart on an acting career in the real OK Corral.  Lord life does through one some curves at times.
