Posted over 1 year ago My son now is Eli Joseph. We decided that we would give our new son my father in law's first name as his middle name. It is Donald. I don't much like the name, to be honest, but my father in law is a good man. All my other brother's have used many of our family names, so it's hard to pay tribute to most of them. We are religious, so we don't mind Biblical names or names from the Book of Mormon, but we don't want something strange. I don't want my son to have to explain every day who Nehemiah or Abinidi is. Something simple yet not over used. I hope that narrows things down a bit. The baby name books we bought are hard to wade through.

Posted over 1 year ago Obviously I am biased but, there is a name that goes back over two thousand years and is still popular. That name is naturally "James". <G>

Posted over 1 year ago I've got a brother named James....and BigNTS, I've alread got an Eli. Maybe when I name my kids, someone with their name wins the Superbowl. My next kid is going to be Tony. The Cowboys need all the luck and help they can get!

OK........ How did we settle on Tony? |

Posted over 1 year ago We haven't. I just figured that the Giants won the superbowl after I named my son Eli (Eli Manning). So if I name my next son Tony (Tony Romo) then the Cowboys will win the superbowl. It was all in fun. There won't be a Tony Schultz coming from my family.

Posted over 1 year ago Keep it unique, something you dont see everyday, just don't name him after colored jello. Emmett, Everette are my favorites, but you should do what feels right to you. Also keep in mind what will be easy to yell across the house when the child is drawing beautiful stick figures across a freshly painted wall with permanent marker. I have a little girl on the way and we have decided to name her Lillith Marie, and if it was a boy we were going to go with Damion James.

Posted over 1 year ago That does narrow it down a bit... Maybe consider the meaning of names as well, I orginally wanted to name my son after my moms's father ( Albert) and my own dad's middle name (Theodore) b/c both are good men but I also could'nt see naming my child after the chipmunks either lol :).... my son is actually a third so it was hard to determine what we would actually call him to give him uniqueness I hated Trace so I said JohnDavid as one name and the meaning is God is Gracious which fits him considering he was a preemie by three months we did'nt find this out until months later. what about Ian spelled Ean... that's unique easy to pronounce and it's close to Eli :) I 've always liked the name Byron too for a boy if my son was a girl it was going to be Stella Maree In Life we should experience an adventure that will create a memory worth repeating.....unknown.....

Posted over 1 year ago Andrew Schultz is good. However, he will have to let others know he prefers Drew over Andy. He might decide to go with Andy when he is older. I like names that give a son or daugher options to express themselves. Ty Schultz sounds like a fighter's name. Or a sports announcer or reporter. Good!

Posted over 1 year ago You could name him Gabriel, the angel who was sent from God to Mary. The story is in Luke 1. You can call him Gabe for short.
