Posted over 1 year ago After 9 long, boring, anxiety filled months, I have finally been released medically and given the opportunity to return to full duty on Monday. That is, provided I can qualify with my duty weapon, shotgun, and rifle. For those of you who don't know about it, I injured my left (strong) hand on March 23 and, after several unsuccessful attempts to heal non-surgically, required surgery the end of June and have been rehabbing since then. | Posted over 1 year ago Glad to hear that. I had to have an emergency surgery July 1. It was a LONG 4 1/2 months being off work. On Nov. 15, the doctor released me to go to work. He asked if I wanted him to date my work release for the next day. I asked to get it for that day. So an hour after the doctor released me, I was back at work. Take care my friend. |

| Posted over 1 year ago Outstanding news my Brother. So happy for you. Take it easy when you return and don't try and solve all the crimes to catch up for the time off. I was once out for four months and they even sent me back to the Academy to re-instate my LEO Cert. Now that was because I resigned and then came back and was rehired but the principal is the same, it takes a little bit to get up to speed working the streets again. Best of luck my Brother and glad you are back on full-duty! |
