As I just have returned from a short hiatus, here are my thoughts:

1. I could care less for all of the bells and whistles that many of the "other sites" have. The more bells and whistles, the more of a chance of things acting up or going south.

2. I enjoy the "family" that we have here on PL. I consider a number of the members to be some of my very closest friends and even have a few honorary aunts and uncles for my new addition from PL.

3. Even though things may not be perfect, I think that we have all learned to adapt while working on the job. I never remember having any of the new gear and gadgets that many of other larger or better funded departments had. Oh well, I am still alive and kicking, and that is all that matters.

4. We'll keep this boat afloat no matter what.

We are with you, Sarge, come what may. Tim and I will continue to post our fallen LEO's. When we get that red error message, we just post again, without the images; then add the images one at a time, until they're all entered. I now copy/paste (into a blank email) everything I entered, before I hit that Submit button. This will be a learning experience for all of us.

As long as we can keep posting in the forums, I'm happy.

Well Sarge, at least we know what we are up against ! I like the idea of finding a way to verify our own. If they could give you that capability of issuing the star,  we could promise to leave the overworked employee alone and deal with out stuff ourselves ! Let me know if I can help with anything.

Thanks for the update and thing Cat_D and BigNTS are right, we need to be able to verify, sometimes the restricted areas are a refuge from the trolls and a place to have discussions that everyone shold not see..

Yeap, there are a lot of folks here claiming to be LE with a lot of stars below their avatar who have not been verified!  The verification system here has had it's mishaps but so has the federal government in issuing security clearances.  Something is better than nothing and the posers who have been inadvertantly verified will be rooted out!  GET YOUR STAR OR CHANGE YOUR PROFILE TO REFLECT POSER!
