Hey Everyone,

So I have an interview Monday with the FRP in Detroit. I believe its district 7. Anyone fimiliar with the job? I have a read a few things on the FRP online but not sure how accurate it is. Whats thier academy like (They told me its a FLETA academy in Atlanta, GA), what can I expect the interview to be like (More of an oral board or is it more of a one on one interview), whats the background investigation involve? I would love to hear form current FRP officers about how they like the job. Thanks!

Hey Uncle Dennis! Its the second posting about this job but in a diff discussion board. I thought maybe I would get more feedback from the Protective Services forum but I guess not.

I would think it must be UncleDennis if their training center is in Atlanta. With the exception of the BP the Feds all train at FLETC Brunswick, Ga

Yes Sir, This is for the Federal Reserve Bank. They told me on the phone interview that there was a 6-8 wk FLETA in Atlanta. Sounds like a decent job and a good way to get an actualy LE job for us guys still struggling to try to find available jobs.

Not attempting to down play the position in my area the FRB is a security position. They do advertise it as law enforcement. Good job from what I hear.

And I 100% agree with that and totally understand the scope of authority. I am not trying to be super cop. I think it would be a good experience though.

What I hear this is a good career move. They may have college incentive pay and you could futher your education. Get all the education they offer. I also understand they have the top of the line equipment.
