Posted over 1 year ago I am a unarmed security officer in Ohio and am about to make the jump to armed. I am licensed and everything through Homeland Security and the State of Ohio. My question is what is you favorite duty weapon? What are the pros and cons of each? I get to choose my weapon and want to be sure I make a smart decision. All input in appreciated. |

| Posted over 1 year ago Ok. Let me see if I can help you any. Go to the forums area and search the words "duty weapon". That will give you a lot of stuff to look at. Also, take the time to make an introduction in the introduction forum by telling us more about you. Thanks Moderator #5 "Ladies and Gentlemen, take my advice. | Posted over 1 year ago I'll save you the time and the effort: The standard weapons manufacturers normally carried for on duty use will include (in no particular order of preference) Sig, S&W, Beretta, Glock, H&K, Colt and Ruger. What it amounts to is your personal choice which may be influenced by what you feel most comfortable with and if you can find a duty holster for it just as much as caliber, round capacity and over-all cost. Simply put, what you choose might or might not be what someone else would choose. Try them all (or as many as possible), then check if you can find a duty holster for the one(s) you like the best. |

| Posted 10 months ago Does your company have a designated weapon of choice? THe company I work for does, you have to qualify with the company Glock 19 then requal with your personal weapon if you want to carry it. At that point it is your personal preferance I would say go down to the local range and rent a few weapons to try out and pick the one you like the best. |

| Posted 10 months ago I prefer a Glock 22 main sidearm with Glock 27 Backup. Unfortunatly, I am issued a Beretta 92F M9 pistol, which I have to carry. In a world where there are Sheep and Wolves,
