I take great exception to the unilateral decision to remove the Tributes section on our pages. I feel the problem that you were attempting to address could have been better handled on an individual basis. The majority of the members on the site did not violate the terms of use regarding leaving tributes and many of these same members take great pride in the tributes they have received. PoliceLink has been going through some very concerning changes in recent months and I would not consider them improvements. Many long time members have left PL because of the changes that have occurred since Monster has obtained the rights to the site. Rather than treating this website as the bastard child of some greater entitiy, I would strongly urge you to return PL to its former glory. I have lost many friends because of the decisions regarding PoliceLink and, frankly, am becoming tired of the second class treatment to which we are being subjected. I agree with Nick, however, I have seen some inappropriate comments in the tribute section. I'm not trying to stop anyone from speaking their mind but everyone has to remember that this is the Internet and whatever is posted is available for others to see. Police Link started as a place for LE to Network, etc. I have seen PL turn into a LE Facebook. We are professionals, we all flirt but try to keep your flirting within the confines of PM or other email not posted on your page for the world to read.

| Posted over 1 year ago I don't give a hoot about tributes. But the Tribute option mattered to this community and so it matters to me. It's just a little thing that helped distinguish profiles from one another. Like playlist posts. PL mods do a brilliant job keeping this site topnotch. Members are handling the News even though the same front page has been there forever. Monster couldn't ask for a more vibrant community. Monster's mismanagement of this site only makes Monster look bad.

They like to speak about things and say were doing it for the people, without actually speaking to the people. You wouldn't go in there for a million bucks...A Cop does it for less...A Reserve does it for free.... |

I can understand the reasoning .. but I agree they could have left the ones there :( I liked my courageous mom one.. :( .. or why not make them all private instead of public? Then people would'nt be offended by the ?? inappropriate ones ?? Could that maybe possibly be an option....Basically make them only viewable by the owner of the profile...just my thoughts..... In Life we should experience an adventure that will create a memory worth repeating.....unknown..... |
