| Posted over 1 year ago Your screen name is misleading. You are not a cop you are an applicant. This is a slam to every real cop. I would suggest you change it to browardcop applicant. Your current screen name may make members think you are a cop. Very misleading. You are getting way ahead of yourself. |

| Posted over 1 year ago I wish you the best in your pursuit of a LEO career! Take to heart what the others have said about your screen name. It is misleading. Misleading info makes others suspicious. Maybe add 2B at the end of your current screen name. Easy fix. The other issue I have is your lack of proof reading... Remember that you will be doing a lot of report writing. You need to proof read your work. Yeah, this is JUST a website, right? Wrong! You should care no matter where your written words are being read. |

| Posted over 1 year ago Interesting. . . . .you've been here 2+ years now and you now just come around to introducing yourself? Were you in tactical mode for the last 2 years to see if we were okay? Must have decided that we aren't all that bad as you now come to light. Actually, I'm just rattling your cage a bit here. I will be serious enough to welcome you and wish you luck in your endeavors. HOWEVER, going under the assumption that you make it through to obtain that coveted shiny piece of tin that will be worn on your chest as a symbol of your oath to uphold the law no matter the challenges. . . . .you may come to understand why those that have gone before you and have taken on the challenges of the job that you are gung ho about right now. . . .you may come to understand why the claims to being an officer are cherished. . . .and well protected on this site. When you spend the better part of a year going through an academy and then further OJT and actually get to the point where you bleed blue (or brown as the case may be), you won't want anyone claiming a title that you would have worked for. Are we clear? Changing your screen name on this site is relatively easy and can be done many times. Take the suggestions that have been made and alter your screen name so it does not reflect something that you are not. . . . .yet. |

| Posted over 1 year ago broward44, I think LEOs here were objecting to your use of "browardcop44" as misleading since it suggested you are already sworn. It's a matter of respect.

| Posted over 1 year ago The oral boards are a little difficult to prepare for since what they are looking for is whether or not you can think on your feet. The type of questions available are based in part on what your background investigator found out and may have suggested. Anything that doesn't looked like it was covered in the hiring process. Finally, anything that may be pertinent to that particular area or current issues of the day. Answer how you really feel since they may come back to a particular issue if you seem a little shaky on your beliefs of something. |

| Posted over 1 year ago Welcome from Wisconsin! I just had a board interview today and I think it went well. Be sure to really do the background on the agency you are applying to. This one in particular asked questions that you would have only been able to answer if you had done your research. Good Luck. |

| Posted over 1 year ago I know the market here in So. Florida can be tough. If you are serious about becoming an Officer, it might not hurt to put applications in for agencies in Palm Beach County and other counties as well. There are no shortages on agencies, plenty of them.
