That is really awesome!  Congratulations to the little one and the Proud Mommy!!!  I sure wish I could have been that good at spelling when I was younger.. and shoot... older too!  I hope he wins!!!  I will say prayers.

That is awesome! Keep us posted on his progress. It's refreshing to read about someone succeeding in spelling. Just reading some of the posts here makes one wonder about whether it is becoming a lost art!

thanks everyone for the prayers, congrats and well wishes it means a lot... his state competition will be Nov 4... I'm very proud of him for several reasons things have been very stressful for him his father and myself are divorcing and it's been rough the last few months so this is a HUGE accomplishment for him despite what else is going on.... when he won I sat there  crying in disbelief and the announcer was like " Is anyone going to take his picture?! "  it snapped me into reality lol.... awesome just awesome!

Congrats to you on your son's accomplishment and on knowing he will be able to spell in the future instead of abbreviating every word. This is what I am going through with my 11 yr old daughter right now.

That is a great accomplishment, congrats again!
