Posted over 1 year ago Free Bullet Proof Vests For Officers In Need In an effort to get every officer "vested," ODMP has partnered with Armor of God and Fallen Officers Remembered. These organizations give new or slightly used vests to officers who can't afford them. Now, any officer can access a free bullet proof vest application form right from ODMP. Attention department administrators and quartermasters: If your department has a surplus of new or used vests, you can donate them to Armor of God for distribution to officers in need. Help us save lives! | Posted over 1 year ago This is an OUTSTANDING PROGRAM! and I understand vests can be uncomfortable, hot and smelly, But it may be the price you pay to go home Today, PLEASE! PLEASE! Wear your vest.....I understand the dangers of the job and that their are many other things that can happen, But lets take what we can out of the equation, Now if their is a program for cleaning these vests and having them ready for pick up, I for one will volunteer my time, If it means you will put it on, Like you put on your mental armor daily...... Thousands of law enforcement professionals in the United States and around the world are working in dangerous environments and they do not have a ballistic vest to protect them. In addition, thousands of officers are graciously provided new ballistic vests every five years. While the manufacturer warranty may be expired, often the vest will still effectively protect those that do not have one. The Armor of God Project began in 2009 and is dedicated to protecting those that protect us. We will recycle used ballistic vests and provide them to officers that need them. We encourage you to assist us in any way that you are able in order that we may be able to provide every law enforcement officer with this basic safety equipment free of any costs. Through the efforts of a small cadre of volunteers, financial supporters and those praying daily, thousands of ballistic vests have been given out and lives have been saved. I never realized they was'nt supplied that is a very scary thought...and pretty rediculous if you as me..that should be a given, when you graduate the academy you receive a vest... yeah I know that's how it would be in my world... very sad though that some officers don't have this much needed item.. In Life we should experience an adventure that will create a memory worth repeating.....unknown..... |

| Posted over 1 year ago every officer of the Army or the Military are in need of protection that is why when body armor was invented, it was automatically studied and made available to all the armies and military officers.

| Posted over 1 year ago Thanks for this organisation that recognises the danger LEO"s put themselves in to protect the people it has taken to protect,thanks for realizing sometimesit just the vest which may be able to save a life of a LEO. Shame on those cities and other state governments who fail to realise the importance of providing a bullet resistant minimum 3a grade to their LEO"S. |
Now theres no reason not to Vest Up..... There are many Vest Saved members here on PL. Just ask them about there Vest...
