How come we a civilian is on a cell phone while driving he or she will get pulled over and get a virbal or a citation. But its ok for a police officer to be seen talking on a cell while driving and no one does anything about it. I think that that is not ok, i think police officers should have to fallow the same cell phone laws that everybody has to follow.

Beside, here in Jersey, police, fire, and ems are exempt from the cell phone ban (might have something to do with knowing how to handle the radio and drive simultaneuosly.

Besides, we also have "Special" cell phones that give us Superpowers that most Mortals could not handle......(Sarcasm intended).

LEOs can talk, chew gum and drive at the same time there, Sputnik.  Things most civilians can't do sober.

Plus, most (if not all) states have LE/Fire/EMS exemptions in them, due to the fact that talking on the radio, phone, and driving are vital parts of a LEO's job.

Police officers aren't allowed to do that. That's why they have to write themselves a ticket every time they do it. It's the law.
