Ok so I have been seeing alot of shows lately on the end of the world and propaganda that the government is involved, blah blah blah, I dont really have any idea if it will be the end of the world or not and to be honest havent really read much into the 2012 predictions. I was curious as to what the consensus was of my peers on here.

2012 COULD be the end of the world if Obama is re-elected. If the American people wake up and elect someone else other than Obama in 2012 then we stand a chance of making it.

If for some reason the idiots re-elect him then yes the world is pretty much over as anarchy will prevail.

I've also heard the world is supposed to end in 2011. There have been predictions before when the world will end and the time has passed, and then there are more predictions when the wolrd will end. My attitude is if someone picks the "right" date that God has planned to end the world, He will change the date, since the Bible says that "He will come like a thief in the night", meaning we won't know when it will happen. After all if we knew that then we wouldn't have to live the way God wants us to as all we would have to do is live the wild life and repent just before the end date. Romas, I like the way you think.

It does strike me as interesting how many doomsday prophets proclaim that the "end is near" but want you to send them money.

 The world cannot come to an end until I get married and start my career .  I don't believe this stuff. Just read the Bible if you want to know how the end will play out!

As far as the end of the world....it will happen when it happens.  It's not like people can do anything to stop it.

I was raised a southern Baptist christian so if my reply to this thread offends i apologize in advance I know not everyone shares the same beliefs but this is my personal thoughts.... As it was mentioned previously I think it will come like a thief in the night no one knows the exact date/time however, i do honestly believe we are currently living in the book of revelation now, I have no fear of when the world will end.

Fate, I was raised Catholic and I agree with you, no one knows when the world will end except GOD.  Some people think they have this figured out but the reality is, if GOD wanted us to know when the world was going to end, I believe he would have made it much easier to figure it out.  As far as living in the Book Of Revelations currently, if you look back through  past Centuries I think you will see it's possible that we have been living in Revelations for a long time.  Just my opinion.  Thanks for posting!

thanks, that clears things up, I have been a bit confused about that part of the bible I guess mainly because there is so much hype, I have yet to believe any of them, it is just shocking how some people believe those theories so much they are willing to sacrifice everything for based on speculation.

The Book of Revelation reveals the world coming to an end, but in the Midst of all this, there will be a Rapture. 

I'm a Skeptic, and tend to think that the bible has been rewritten w/o accuracy of the original scripts/Documents.  At the Same time, I believe the theories written in the bible to be more realistic (to what I believe)than any other religious read.
