This is not the place to go for the help that you are seeking.  You need to contact the authorites in the area in which you, or your child reside.  Contact your local Division of Family Services (this agency has different names around the country), your local police department or Sheriff's Department, or your local District Attorney's Office and explain the situation to them.  They will be in a position to investigate your claim and have jurisdiction over any prosecution if there is enough evidence to support an arrest.  The allegation that you make is serious in nature and should be reported to the appropriate authorities immediately.  A social network online is not the place to go with your complaint!  Good Luck and stay strong!

 General Information:

In the Münchausen by Proxy syndrome, an adult care-giver makes a child sick by either fabricating symptoms or actually causing harm to the child whereby convincing not only the child but others, including medical providers, that their child is sick.

Some conditions or symptoms that may be faked by the care-giver or parents include failure to thrive, allergies, asthma, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures and infections. These symptoms are easy to fake because when a child goes into the doctor’s office the adult can just say that his or her child is experiencing these symptoms. This usually occurs during the preschool years.

Many experts feel this form of ill-treatment is driven not only by the attention that the child and parent/caregiver receive because of the diagnostic tests that must be run, but also the satisfaction of being able to deceive individuals that the abuser feels are more important or powerful than him or herself.

Münchausen by Proxy can have many long term effects on a child.

In some cases the child goes on to develop Münchausen Syndrome themselves, which is where they are likely to inflict injury upon themselves or fake illnesses. One of the reasons for this is that they seek the attention they received when they were in poor health. They may also inflict injury or sickness upon themselves so that their caregiver/parent will not leave them.

Ret,

As my grandmother use to say, "something smells rotten in the pantry".

The poster creates an account with no background personal info except a picture if himself smoking a cigarette. Makes 1 post the same day with nothing spelled correctly. Basically just one sentence. I am having trouble believing the post or poster.

The OP sent me a scathing PM. I responding with a professional PM giving advice on whom to contact and why I and other officers posted the way we did. I hope he understands now.

What else needs to be done here? My background is medically oriented, perhaps I might be able to help; however, the answers to date do indeed point the OP in the correct direction.

My 2 cents.

In my opinion, Retleo has pointed the OP in the right direction.

I too had a suspicious reaction to the OP's misspellings.  Perhaps the OP is in some degree of distress.  We can't know.

In any case, where children may be involved, wise to be conservative and take the concern seriously as Retleo has done.

As I understand Munchausen by Proxy is a simply an array of behaviors rather than a diagnosis of an illness or condition. As such, proceedings against the child abuser are not limited by a finding of corroborative facts to show Munchausen by Proxy.

The child abuser is simply that, and herefore subject to prosecution to the full extent of the law.
