My friend, to all things there is a season.  And I am afraid PL is about done.    The technical difficulties, the damage done to good LEO's by our friend the troll, and the apparent lack of Monster doing anything about the troll has done to much damage.  It is bleeding out from the proverbial 1000 small cuts.  There just doesn't seem to be much LEO activity anymore.

When Police Link started it started with just a few people and it grew and grew, times change and people come and go. Hopefully we can rebuild again.

Been gone awhile after my 7th shoulder operation. I come back and I find this.. Is there really talk about this site going down? I think this site is needed for a lot of reasons.

I do not think that "We" can save PL. It can only be "Saved" by the owners or Monster.com and we will just hove to see how that turns out. We CAN however keep it active and working ever if it is checking up on other peoples posts and checking the forums for information. This is basically what I am doing and trying to pass on interesting news and articles, etc. Many here do not remember the earlier "Pains" we have had here and those who have quit or left for other reasons etc. I am not going to quite because some Joe blow wants me to or thinks the have a better ideas

BUMP! Your Right! We are Family, I'm Hangin in and lets not forget, The Sarge said they let everyone go! there is only 1 person taking care of many things, Lets give emmm a Chance and see what He or She can do!                                                                         

As many have said, PL has had it's ups and downs since it started. I am one of the Founding Members and whenever someone got on and said PL was going to down and would not ressurect they ended up being wrong. They may have left, they may have stayed, they may have left and come back, what ever PL has come back and stronger. Do I like everything that has happened with all the changes? No, but I still like this site. For those who don't know when PL started everyone had access to all the forums there were no verified only. Did I like it when some became verified only? No, but I survived and I certainly wasn't going to leave because of it. I understood why they did it.

As far as the computer aspect of this site, just as it is with my job, I have no clue how computers work and so while I get impatient with the problems, I am one who doesn't complain. Especially when it is a website, for me my work computer is more important to work and believe me we have had problems for the last 8 months. Many blame the IT guy, but just like Monster, we have 1 person for the whole town. Monster has 1 person for many sites which each site thinks they are the most important. This is a sign of our economic times, where even big companies are downsizing. Since I haven't seen Kweikimon (sp?) on here lately, I have to wonder if she was one of the ones let go? Sarge do you know? She did the best she could with what she was given and if she is the one stillhere, it sounds like she was given even more for her already full plate. If she was one of the ones let go, I am sorry to see her go.

I am one who will stay no matter what as I for one refuse to give up.

Yes, Kendra was let go. I spoke with on the phone a couple of times and she seemed amicable and already moving ahead to her next adventure. She was a good person to have on the site and worked as hard to get things done as anyone. She was limited on what she could restructure on the site due to powers she was given but she maximized what she had for the benefit of the site. Hear-tell, she may launch a Nursing career......just like my RN daughter.
