Posted almost 2 years ago Hello everybody. I just wanted to know your opinions on my chances of being hired at a department or at least how I would stack up against the average applicant. I am 21 years old and I will graduate with a double major in administration of criminal justice and sociology in may. I have taken 12 credit hours of spanish while at college. I am currently an intern wiht the state police. For what it's worth, I am an Eagle Scout. I received a speeding ticket last summer which I received court supervision for. This is supposedly supposed to take the ticket off of my record in order to keep my insurance rates from rising, but I do not know how it appears to police agencies. The State Police did an extensive background investigation on me including character references by people I didn't even list on the application. I have never tried Marijuana or any other controlled substances. I have an excellent work history and all of my past and current supervisors speak highly of my work ethic and communication skills.

| Posted almost 2 years ago Today was my last day at my internship aside from returning my vest and all the paper work I havet to do for the school. I'm gonna miss the ride alongs, but it will be nice not to have to work 80 hours a week between the internship and my other job. I'm ready for a somewhat consistent sleep schedule |

. It was all worth it though. I learned a lot. A local department near by is going to be testing in october so I am starting to prepare. I'm looking for jobs every day. I am going to make finding a job, my new job. Thanks everybody.
