Good Grief ! Pick the damn thing up ...

Posted almost 2 years ago Most disturbing. We have turned into a society dependent on suitcase wheels. I suppose there are times when attached wheels would be helpful. Maybe a 75 lb suitcase, rucksack or steamer trunk. But good grief ! I have seen people wheeling around things as small as an attache case at the airport. On several ocassions I wanted to blurt out, "Hey, come on man, pick the damn thing up. Are you some kind of whimp?" I don't have any pictures of these incidents. But I've seen them. And I think you've seen them, too. Gotta picture? What 'grinds your gears' about this shuffling about with handles and wheels? |

| Posted almost 2 years ago These annoying little things??? I think its funny when they have a hard time navigating them :) And I've seen a couple of people trip over them. We've become a lazy society. |

| Posted almost 2 years ago Then I certainly got something for you. Mind you, I don't fly ever but occasionally I do transportation for coworkers or family to the airport outside of town. I decided that I needed to go in for a snack in the lounge and my usual technique is face the door as most of us do. Its a large double door entrance and outside you can see pretty much the entire inner airport along with all the people. One of these little wheely cases was being "controlled" by this male individual and the wheel popped off and he continued going dragging the case with one wheel for a good twenty feet before stopping. So I get a little giggle and assume he'll just go back and pick up the wheel and carry the case and continue on his way. Needless to say I should have known better. He kneels down and tries re-attaching the wheel to the case. I'm sitting there eating a sandwhich in amazement and wearing my food as I was distracted (long story) and finally he starts getting angry hitting his lazy carry unit and getting all angry. After about ten minutes of doing that and everyone walking past him probably thinking "What a moron!" I noticed security had also noticed his tantrum and decided to stop by. Mind you at this point hes angry so they casually come up to him and hes yelling at them in the airport. I reckon they stuck some common sense into him with something they said as abruptly he picked the case up with the wheel and started walking in the direction he was originally. The two security people watched him walk away briefly and walked away shaking their heads. I can only imagine what the people on that guys flight had to deal with or the security at the boarding terminal and the ones that had the pleasure in dealing with him during his tanrum. This a common occurrence at airports? Any other funny situations any of you have come into contact with? lol Sincerely,

| Posted almost 2 years ago Well, Sarge. You may not want to hear about Samsonite's newest prototype. The "OBAG roll on bag". It does have a collapsible handle, though.

| Posted over 1 year ago It seems to me they would be more of a pain then a benefit, inless like others have said you have a weeks worth of clothing and one arm full..I personally would rather backpack it if possible....and yes people have become increasingly lazy over the years I shudder to think what my son's future society will consist of.... In Life we should experience an adventure that will create a memory worth repeating.....unknown..... |

| Posted over 1 year ago Ok, I'm going to pull an UncleD here for a minute with Flash. Skeleton profile, just joined this week...Not to mention he calls himself Flash Gordon but he uses the cartoon character "The Flash's" symbol. You don't rag on The Sarge around here Flash. As far as what Sarge is saying....we have become a very lazy society. It really makes one wonder what the future holds for our kids.

flash, it ain't a good idea to disrespect Sarge. Real quick way to find yourself encouraged to pack it in around these parts. Oh yeah, and we have become extremely lazy as a society. I recall the commercial where the three dudes have real backpacks, and the one wimp has the rolling thingamagig and they all make fun of him. Yeah, I laugh at that. |
