Let's all take time to pray for the victims and families affected by the shooting in Colorado.

But we should also remember to pray for the Officers, EMTs and other public service men and women who are working with this.  This is not something that ended at the end of shift or when they go to bed today, tomorrow, or even next week.

God is sovereign and He reigns as He wishes.  It is not always easy for us to accept that.  He allows things to happen that just blow our minds.  We may never understand some of them.  But we have assurance in knowing that He is THE all-powerful, all-knowing, all-present God.  And His ways always have been and always will be higher than ours.  We serve (and must therefore trust) a Mighty God.  He is able to do exceedingly more than we can imagine.  He is the only One Who can heal their hearts and minds.

Let us pray that someone - many someones - will come to the saving knowledge of Christ through all of this.  Let us pray that He gives peace to His children through all of this.  And let us pray for on-going strength for the service workers involved in this now and in the future.

Yes lets keep these families in our thoughts and prayers. Also lets thanks God for sending a miracle to the victims. All of the hospital expenses have been paid and the victims do not have to spend one dime. What amazing God we serve!

Asking for some prayers on guidence right now in my life. I have come to a fork in the road in my life and not sure what path to take. I just received a call from Dept to go full time which is something I'd love to do. Its one of the best depts in the state. A lot of good Christian guys to work with. But the downside is that this dept is 100 miles away from where I currently live. This job would require a move away from my parents, family and others. My parents are not physically able to do a lot around the house, and outside the house. I do all the outside work cause my dad is unable to do those things anymore and my mom is no condition to do them either. I had been hoping and praying that an agency around where I live now would hire me, but that doesn't look like its going to happen. If I go my parents are going to have to rely on someone else to do the work. If I stay I am giving up my chance to start my career and go forward with my life. Going to be a hard decision to make, but I know the Lord will work it out either way I go. I will trust and pray for guidenance and I hope you guys will pray for as well. Thanks!

He will give you the answer you need. Be still, know that He is God, and ask that His will be done. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Thought I would give an update to those that have been praying for me. I took the path that I thought was right by going full time with my department. Well that is not going to work out now or with any department forever. Unless I decide to fight the Army on my discharge, which could turn out not in my favor or it could. But for now I will keep on doing my job as a reserve deputy, but will need to find a new career. This has been the reason why I've been MIA on here recently. I've been trying to pray and think and pray some more on what to do next. I have a lot on my mind and would appreciate the prayers. Right now I feel as though someone just took my heart out and stomped on it. Hopefully I'll bounce back with something to look forward to.

I just saw this.  I am so sorry!  I will be praying.  I know it may not seem that way, but I can tell you with assurance (from experience) - when it seems darkest, loneliest, farthest away - GOD is up to something.  He has not forgotten you or your situation.  Be encouraged my friend.  Your sorrow may last for the night - but JOY comes in the morning!

Praying for you my friend!

I am asking for some more prayers on guidence in my life right now. Also I've been given an opportunity to test with a small department next week, written and pt testing. But the problem is I've been sick with for over two months now with bronchitis and its after effects which make breathing difficult at times. I still cough at times, especially when I put out a lot of energy. Thanks!

Praying that you will finally get healed of this bronchitis.   If that is where God wants you you'll make it.

Much good fortune with the testing procedures my friend and you.of course have my prayers.En re to that bronchitis .for that long a period of time you possibly have chronic bronchitis,if you have had it previously. You may wish to get a second opinion on this.I had it for years and in 1998 was advised I also have emphysema, ergo I have had C.O.P.D. since 1998..

Thanks brother!  Yeah I've never had bronchitis my entire life until now. It started the first of the new year as just a cough. Which got worse, so bad that one night before work I started to cough and had something stuck in my lungs and I could not breath for about 30 or seconds. I was kicking the sink counter hard and hitting the counter trying to get my breath. The doc gave me some meds which helped but I still cannot laugh without going into a coughing fit and its hard to do PT without breathing hard at times. Which has me questioning if I should take the PT test part of the hiring process next week. Don't want to have a coughing problem in front of everyone. And I've had the the 24hr flu twice. I've not had a good start of the new year.

I will definitely be praying - both about your job and your health.  Since this is the first time you've ever had bronchitis, your lungs may still be raw or congested,  I agree - you should get a second opinion and maybe an xray.  Prayers for you my brother!

Asking for prayers for me. Was let go from my job that I had for the past 2yrs. Money is about gone. Hundreds of applications put in, but no interest yet have called me. I have about till January and I lose everything. If I lose everything my department will probably won't let me stay on. I know the Lord has a reason for allowing this trial in my life. And I will continue to praise Him!

Oh yeah Ryan I have your back in prayer. Not a lot of people can see a train wreck and still maintain the brand of faith you have. You can be commended for that and have my deepest respect,my brother. So many would want to blame events or other people or even the Savior.I feel you will be blessed, but cannot,of course tell you when or how.May the Holy Spirit guide you now and forever.....Rev. Dave
