Posted about 2 years ago I am looking for a printer to install in our Patrol vehicles. Needs to be small and somewhat rugged due to extreme heat & cold in Ohio. I'll need a good mount for it as well. I am wondering what other agencies have been using in conneciton with Electronic ticketing. Thanks. |

| Posted about 2 years ago We use two types. One made by Brother and the other is a Pentex Pocket Jet III. We get all of our equipment related to this from an outfit called Brekford. You can contact them at brekford.com or call 443-557-0200. They would be able to give you more information than I. All that stuff came long after I retired. I was given a ticket book and Bic Pen. Hope that helps. t |

| Posted about 2 years ago Try calling the Palm Beach Sherrif's office @ (561) 688-3000. I recieved a citation from one of their officers. By the way, if you are retired don't expect any respect as a retired police officer. Sorry for the distraction. The ticket was produced by a printer. I don't know why it took over 25 minutes to issue said citation. I don't think it was any fault of the instrument. Be safe! |

| Posted almost 2 years ago We use the pentax pocketjet printer in upstate NY. Gets pretty cold here in the winter, and somewhat warm in the summers. Runs off of thermal paper that you can get in a roll or perforated sheets. It fits into an armrest. There's also a manufacturer out there that created a headrest mount for the same printer if space is an issue....it escapes me though the name of the company. I can find it if need be. The armrest doesn't take up too much space though. "People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. " |
