Greetings, I am currently looking at purchasing either a Glock 22, XD .40, or a Smith and Wesson M&P .40. I have had the oppertunity to fire both the Glock and the XD and currently I am set on the XD out of the two. However, I have not had the oppertunity to hold, fire, and quality test the M&P. I don't know of anyone around here who owns one and the nearest S&W dealer is more than 120 miles away. That being said, I was hoping I could get some advice and opinions on the M&P and is it worth buying. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hayden

All 3 are good guns. Personally, I wouldn't buy a gun that I haven't had the chance to check out in person. You might be able to find a gun shop/range within driving distance that will let you rent a gun to test fire it.

You can't go wrong with the GLOCK! Jus my biased opinion though!

We used S&W M&P's in the academy. I currently own an XDM. Both weapons are extremely similar with about the only difference being the takedown. Both are extremely comfortable to shoot and easy to handle. Don't have any experience with the Glock as we are issued Sig's.

You can't cure stupid.

All three are great weapons, I have fired them all, but nothing is as tried and proven as the Glock 22.

Go with the gun that has tech support that is close.

If he needs tech support to run any of the 3 guns he listed then he should not be shooting a gun.
