So, I'm considering a weapon mounted light for my  Glock 22 but want something that has a holster that will fit it.  I really like the Blackhawk CQC Serpa holsters and the only light bearing weapon holster they make (that I can find) is for their own Blackhawk Xiphos NT light.

Anyone had any experience with this light? Is it any good? It will be used solely for home defense (since Illinois didn't pass the concealed carry bill this week).

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I bought a level 3 serpa holster and Xiphos light for a glock. I really like the light and the holster. it fits perfectly in the holster, and the light has a nice fit on the gun. I'm left handed, but they even have a light made for left handed shooters if you need it. The light is really bright, and when you turn on the strobe mode it blinds and confuses you. I would highly recommend it

Got the Blackhawk light and level 3 holster a few months ago. Love it! Fast draw, very smooth, easy to draw even when seated. As for the light I dropped a TLR-1S to go with this. The TLR is rated at 165 lumens so I figured I would miss it sorely when I went to the Xiphos light, I was wrong, the Xiphos puts out more than enough juice and seems to have more "spill" around the outer edges of the beam for clearing rooms. The Xiphos is easy to operate/turn on and is very lightweight. I think you'll like it.

I bought this light and holster combo direct from Blackhawk over a year ago. I like it in all aspects. Blackhawk even makes an off duty holster that fits the weapon with the light which I use. I say it is a must have! Stay safe!

I recently bought this light for use with a Serpa Level III holster for my agency owned Glock 22 (3rd Gen).    Love the holster and found the light acceptable although I prefer the Streamlight and the TL-1.  However, I took it to the range yesterday for the first time and had five misfeed malfunctions during the course of two 50 round qual courses.  I've never  had misfeeds to that degree with this weapon and I immediately blamed the light causing frame flexing issues.   Researching this online, however, I can't find people really complaining about this light causing misfeeds when mounted on a Glock 22 and am now wondering if it was a bad magazine.  Anyone experienced problems with malfuctions after mounting the Xiphos NT light on a Glock 22?  Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I have fired thousands of rounds through my gen 3 glock 21 with the xiphos attached without any problem. Some say that the recoil spring should be replaced every year or two - wonder if this could be an issue?
