Posted about 2 years ago What are the specific ethical considerations that need to be addressed when investigating a sexual assault? I'm having to do a essay on sexual assault for my intro to Criminal Justice class and this is one of the questions that have to be answered in the essay.

| Posted about 2 years ago I'm not too sure that you'll get alot of responses to this question in a public forum, as sexual assaults are a delicate type of call to handle. Plus most Patrol Officer(s) will respond to take the initial report and an Investigator/Detective will be called into to take over the investigation (at least with larger agencies). I have a suggestion that may help you. Call your local police agency and see if an Investigator/Detective that works these types of cases is willing to let you interview them...or at a minimum try to help you with the answer(s) to the question(s).
