As a civilian I entered PoliceLink through the door of the Officer Down Memorial Page over two years ago. I have been heartened to find PoliceLink a vibrant community with a very special place to mourn our fallen heroes. During PL's recent prolonged communication hardship PL Member Eleni continues to work tirelessly posting line of duty deaths among our brothers and sisters in blue here in PL group Officer Down. It is hard emotional work even on a 'normal day' when we lose one of our officers. NOW,WITHOUT HTML, IT IS EVEN HARDER EMOTIONAL WORK. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ELENI TO PROPERLY POST LODD NOTICES. IT IS ALSO IMPOSSIBLE FOR PL MEMBERS TO EXPRESS OUR GRIEF AND HONOR OUR DEAD BY ACCOMPANYING OUR CONDOLENCES AND MEMORIAL REFLECTIONS WITH PICTORIAL OFFERINGS. THANK YOU, ELENI FOR YOUR STRONG HEART. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING GRACE UNDER PRESSURE IN OFFICER DOWN.

Bump! I personally am glad to call Eleni my friend. I appreciate the work that she does day in and day out. Hard to put into words the gratitude that I have for her dedication.

To any of you that have had the honor to meet this very special woman - consider yourself so very lucky. It takes a special person to what she does - to post the loss of an officer - on what seems to be a daily basis and as we've seen as of late - even several a day - It would put a huge emotional strain on anybody. You become part of them - and it haunts you. But Eleni does it in a way that she continues to honor them and memorializes them so that we can honor them as well.
