I'm currently attending Sanford-Brown College; for my Bachlors degree in Criminal Justice and I'm going to put my application in; at the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for police officer, this October. Does anyone know if there's going to be a new academy class starting shortly after that?

Best bet is to call and ask the appropriate departments or academies.

Most departments have all their info online if they're starting a hiring phase soon, if not "call and axe" as uncledennis would say.

- Barbara Boxer

"My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place - police, firefighters and members of our armed forces."
- Sidney

rc86. Good one. ac31. I have a very good friend with the St. Louis County Police Department and he informed me they are hiring. They are a good agency. Go for it.
