2-27-11:I have posted this elsewhere on the site via link. I decided to extrapolate it from it'as original website and post it here in it's entirety. Click on the upper left arrow and then click on the little boxwith the arrow in the bottom of the frame. You will be able to enlarge the image. Make sure to turn on your volume. It is 3 minutes, 45 seconds that may save your career. The speaker is Gordon Graham: Capt. (ret) California Highway Patrol (CHP), attorney (for our side) and Risk Management subject matter expert. I can vouch for his credibility. I have worked directly with Gordon and sat with him for countless hours, listening to his sound wisdom as it relates to law enforcement. My video is rough and not professional grade but you'll get the jist of it. I just held my camera phone up to the screen and gave it a go. As much as I, we may use these sites as a tool to detect locate bad Guys, they also search and locate LE and will in a Heartbeat use any all contents against you. Don't put yourselves out there. I know it's hard, I too use facebook to keep in touch with my kids/grandkids out of state in the military. I keep it at a minimum and don't get caught up in the games and posting on the wall to much. Think before posting if you choose to use these sites. Remember the Enemy is at the other end of the wire waiting for you to screw up..... and as Beowulf_7 says is their a test? Well I hope we all pass it, LE and Supporters... AKangel |

I don't divulge too much about myself (at least I try to keep my posts general) and I do not post about my PD or my bosses unless it is in the LE only sections and even then I edit my comments carefully. I've been telling rookies and veterans alike the same things that Gordon said. I've spoken to LE groups and said the same things. Facebook, MySpace, etc. will only get you jammed up, particularly if someone has an axe to grind against you. Be smart. Be careful.
