Posted almost 6 years ago ...that makes it all worthwhile. http://stories.dailytimes.com/story.lasso?ewcd=9e3451564e07825f I was one of the two Deputies that apprehended Hodson yesterday morning, after a brief foot pursuit. The victim was a husband and father of two young girls. He took the job as a delivery driver to supplement his income, so he could provide for his family. My heart goes out to them. |

Posted almost 6 years ago Good on you, GTS! My heart goes out to the family, too. Now, if the courts will do their part, this family will know their lost husband and father was valued by the community as well as by them.

Posted almost 6 years ago And that OFO, is the part I'm having the hardest time with. If it had been one turd that dumped another turd...oh well. This was an honest, hard working guy who's world revolved around his family. He didn't turn to crime to supplement the income, he got another job...an honest job. Two fucking idiots decided that his life wasn't valuable and took it upon themselves to end it, leaving a widow and those two little girls who will never have the opportunity to know their father. Having two young sons, I can relate. Two hours prior to catching him, I was in the squad room getting briefed about what had happened the day before and was assigned the Lakehills area. Thinking about the kids angered me beyond belief. When I spotted him on the FM road and he hit the woodline after seeing me, I knew that I wasn't going to have to be the one to have to explain to his family why the killer was still on the loose. I sincerely hope that the family's healing can begin.

Posted almost 6 years ago It is being at the right place at the right time that gives the family some sense of justice. They will always be greatful that you were out there and the person who did this will not go unpunished or do this to anyone else. Thank you GTS for the service to your community, job well done.

Posted almost 6 years ago I am sure it hit you all the harder because of your sons-- you could relate to the murdered man and his family. That always adds a twist of the knife, doesn't it-- but also, it adds a truer understanding of the cost of the crime.

Posted almost 6 years ago Great Job GTS. What a waist, someone is actually busting his butt to take care of his family and then these POSs, who are to lazy want to take money the "easy" and "cowardly" way. I hope they get what is truly comeing to them if not here then in the after life. My prayers go out to this poor man's family.

Posted almost 6 years ago The local paper finally decide to update their website. Pictures of the accused are included. Further investigation has revealed that these two are also responsible for at least two robberies in San Antonio, prior to the murder. http://www.banderacountycourier.com/lawenfor.htm#capi0726
