A message from Carole Hatcher, President, LASD Volunteer Assn:
The LASD - Volunteer Association announces its LASD-VA Law Enforcement Volunteer Training Conference to be held Monday, February 21, 2011 - President's Day at STARS Center, Whittier, California.
Southern California Law Enforcement Volunteers are encouraged to attend a day of training seminars conducted by experts from FBI, Office of Homeland Security, El Monte PD and LASD. Class content is targeted for those who volunteer both inside the station and Volunteers on Patrol.
Priority registration for LASD Volunteers only starts Friday, November 5, 2010, for a period of two weeks. Open registration will continue for LASD Volunteers and other invited Southern California Law Enforcement Agencies until all available 500 reservations have been filled.
Conference cost is $20 for registrations postmarked prior to December 15th, and $30 for registrations postmarked on or after December 15th. Cost to attend this valuable conference includes a continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and more. Fee must accompany reservation. Confirmation will be sent to Volunteer.
Conference registration and details can be found at LASDVA.NING.com. Please ensure all Volunteers receive this information. Also, print out copies of the registration form for those Volunteers who do not have access to a computer.
