This is for anyone who has a Facebook account. If you have family, relatives or friends who are currently part of law enforcement, feel free to share this with them. 


On October 28, 2010, A DUI traffic stop by Maricopa County Sheriff's Office uncovered a CD containing multiple photographs and names of over 30 Phoenix PD Officers and civilian employees. All of the names and photographs found on the CD were obtained from Facebook and reveal the identity of several patrol and undercover officers. All officers who were identified on the CD have been notified. It is unknown how many more CDs (if any) may be circulating. 

Law enforcement officers (including retired officers) should use good judgment when posting personal information about themselves on social networks. For instance, if you have worked or are currently working in an undercover capacity, it is recommended that you do not post photographs of yourself with your personal information on social networking sites. 


You can take the suggested measures to safeguard your information: Secure all photographs and other information by customizing your privacy settings to control who may access your information and photographs. Set your privacy setting to "friends only".  Make your profile photo something that is obscure or known only to those who know you. Remember, anyone can see your profile picture. Stay current on security changes and updates on social networking sites, as they are constantly changing.

I agree with this post, is easy to get information about persons in facebook, when I want to know more about people I google it first and go to facebook to get pictures and more info.

is unvelibable the kind of info you can find, some officers put they work in law enforcement, rank and unit, that is the first thing that you do not do but everybody is different.

Yeah you want to be shocked ask a PI to show you how to find yourself... If you can't be found on google.
