My father was killed years ago, in a work accident. I saw first-hand how some officers ignored me, some officers reached out to me and some officers would have reached out IF they knew what to do in a situation like this.  I am by no means an expert in this area, so I am asking all of you...what do you do and what does your agency / department do to help a grieving spouse or family member.  Thanks for your wisdom and honesty.
