Yes they are, they are true warriors in the REAL sense of the word. That word gets thrown around and has been overused...these guys, the real deal. And are fighting for victor AND each other every single day. TRUE WARRIORS.....I have nothing but admiration for the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, and these Soldiers are from the Rakasans...one of the most storied units in all of the infantry.

Is it me or does the 101st seem perpetually deployed to either Iraq or Afghanistan? Talk about a division that has to be experiencing some major combat fatigue for the air assault qualified 11B

thats a good leader I would work for him and I think your right the 101 is constantly deployed, and a lot more units are also. we are screwing over the best youth in our society.

Yes he does seem like a good leader, at at 40 years old and a captain, I am almost positive he spent most of his Army career as an NCO before getting his commission. He comes off as being very close to his Soldiers. I imagine that captain is the type of officer that would rather be with his guys than hanging around brass.

Each time I have deployed, there were Screaming Eagles in the AO, it just amazes me how much that division deploys...it really does.

I hope many of those battle hardened Soldiers find their way into LE as civilians....you cant get that sort of experience sitting in college.

Once again, the 101st seems to be taking over from the 82nd Airborne as the vanguard deployable light infantry division.....

My fella has been to Iraq 3 times and he is on his 2nd deployment to Afghanistan. The sad part is that instead of talking about what to do when he comes home, we discuss how long we will have before he is deployed again.  He flies a OH-58d Kiowa Warrior and is always tired. Thank you for all your prayers for these men and women. They are true heros.

Tough spot to be in that's for damned sure.  Gotta admire these troops for what they do and what they give.  I wish that there was something more I could do to help them other than supporting them.  If I had the years back, I'd be there, with everything I got!  There is no way our people could ever have enough help over there.  And yes, they are the real thing when the words to describe them like, "Hero" and "True Warrior" are used.  While they fight to protect our homeland against terrorists activists and try to help the innocent people trying to live within a war zone over there.  There is no level of admiration that anybody could bestow upon them that isn't deserved in my opinion.
