Posted almost 3 years ago Looking at most state laws on DUIs I see when it comes to DUIs that invole a death the drunk driver gose to jail for some time. Each state is diffrent on how long they go to jail. But one thing that could aid in the reduction in drunk driving is if you drink and drive and have a accident that couses a death I think the states should impose a loss of your driveprivilege for life. Most state the drunk driver will go to jail for some time. This should also go for second time offenders as well. Since there is no excuse for drinking and driving. |

Posted almost 3 years ago Revoking someones license is not going to stop them from driving nor driving drunk. People go to court get their license suspended and go out get in their car and drive home. YaYa Sister

Posted almost 3 years ago Kansas has one of the best regulations for dealing with DUI's and that is you cannot plea bargain a DUI to another charge, you encounter in some other states so many people who are charges with DUI and essentually buy their way out of it, they get it plead to a lesser charge and a big fine.

Posted almost 3 years ago I once arrested a person whose license was terminated. The only one I came across in many years. He was several hundred points in the hole. Even though he should have been jailed and fined the judge placed him on probation. Some courts it is an automatic two days in lock up which is not enough.

Posted over 2 years ago You can impose loss of driving privelages for life, it won't make a difference. They will be out of jail and be out drinking and driving in no time.
