| Posted almost 3 years ago It really is absolutely disgusting, dishonorable, and disrespectful to not only the 2,985 AMERICANS that died during the 9/11 Attacks but to also their family and friends. I'm sorry but no matter how much you try to "move on and forget", the attacks that happened against our country wil NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. It has become a part of our history and our future. If you ask me, another disgusting show of complete disrespect is Muslim Day at Six Flags on 9/12/10. The day after the anniversary of the attacks committed by Muslim terrorists. Out of the 365 days in a calendar year why in the hell was that day chosen??!! I'm boycotting Six Flags. I'd like to see them host a Christian Day or a Baptist or Catholic Day and see how much uproar it will cause. Hey how we host an AMERICAN DAY every day and get all the illegals out of our country as well as anyone else that disrespects our flag, our country, our values, and the Constitution that this country was founded upon and if that means getting Obama out of office then HOO-RAH! Never take life too seriously......no one gets out alive anyway :) Stay safe, take care, and God Bless ☺

| Posted almost 3 years ago Here is a website on muslim family day at great adventure: http://www.muslimfamilyday.com/ History of the Event
I'm just as disappointed about this as you are. It really is an insult to America. HOWEVER, Obama had nothing to do with this. It started under someoneelse's watch in September 2000. Would you like the government to take over amusement parks? Please look at all the facts before you put 2 and 2 together and get 58.

| Posted almost 3 years ago There are some things that while legal should not be done and this is one of them. History proves that Muslims build Mosque at sites of great victory and this one is even going to be named after Cordoba, one of their biggest conquests and victories in Spain AND they want to open it 9/11/11 on the tenth anniversary of the killing of thousands of Americans. The Unions in NYC should refuse to do any work on this mosque and picket in front of the site. While I do not condone violence I have no doubt that there will be those who will toss bombs or firebombs at this place to prevent it from being complete. My only hope is that no innocents are killed in this process. I have no problem with freedom of religion but this should simply not be allowed in this area. |

| Posted almost 3 years ago The solution in my humble opinion. NYC should pass a law that no religious organization can build on ground zero. Church,Synogogue, Mosque, Temple. Make it an American Shrine. Not a religous one. Too many people of all faiths died that day. ""Life is a storm.. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. | Posted almost 3 years ago It is an affront to the memories of everyone who died at the WTC to have a Mosque near the site. I don't care what excuses they use - whether it is to "bring a better understanding" of Islam (which was stated in the news) or whatever other nonsense they push. It should not be allowed to be built. PL MENTORING TEAM MEMBER "Don't underestimate the drawing power of the Garden State." From the film "Dogma" Trying to stay sane in an insane world... |

| Posted almost 3 years ago Building a mosque at this site,or for that matter, anyplace else in this country is the most assinine concept this universe ever heard. Here in Missouri, yes, even in the heart of the midlands,at a Muslim school the students cheered and applauded when the towers collapsed. The Koran,if anybody cares to study it ,calls for the death of ALL Christians and Jews and yet some in this country believe in placating and honoring these individuals. What a bunch of unadultrated ,utter stupidity. |

| Posted almost 3 years ago I couldnt think of a better topic heading. WTF is Mayor Bloomberg(NYC) thinking?????? He is in support of this Mosque which might I add......will be directly across the street from the former Twin Towers site....aka.....Ground Zero.....aka......9/11. Its sad to know that NYC can basically flip flop just to make people happy and forget about the thousands of lives that were affected because of these ass&%#. I know survivors and victims of this horrible disaster......this is more than just a slap in the face or a stab to the heart......its absolute disgrace and dishonor.......especially when there are plans to rebuild on the same site that was taken from us on 9/11/01 |

Saudi Arabia. Which is where most of the money for mosques comes from...and how many of the bombers were Saudis? And do your agencies have access to DoJ/DHS figures on how many of the mosques in the USA are militant controled? Im not even going to quote it in this thread, but even I was shocked when I saw the figures. |

| Posted almost 3 years ago Just to set the record straight, the site of the proposed Mosque is TWO BLOCKS away from Ground Zero and IS NOT ON THE GROUND ZERO SITE (Which would definitely be insanity on the part of all involved). I ask only that we keep focused on the FACTS and not feed a frenzy of misinformation that enflames emotions and anger in people who read these articles and threads. While the Mosque group has been granted approval to move ahead since the building has been deemed not to be a "Landmark" structure there has been a law suit filed by a group opposing the building of the Mosque at that location because they feel that the NYC Landmark Preservation Commission voting on the "Landmark" staus of the building moved too quickly with their decision and were potentially being politically pressured in making their decision. I agree that placing a Mosque even two blocks from Ground Zero is a bad decision. There is far too much emotion and grief attached to the attack site for such a Mosque to be located that close. I forsee nothing but trouble surrounding this situation as raw emotions take the place of rational and logical thought processes. The Landmark Preservation Commission and the Mosque congregation need to rethink their decisions and find a location in NYC that is not so volatile and insulting to the thousands who died at Ground Zero as well as to those tens of thousands who worked the site in the months following the attacks and those who actually live in that area of NYC.
