I just got engaged a few weeks back and I thought I'd share a little info with you guys. I did some serious research before I bought my fiances diamond ring and I stumbled accross a website called pricescope.com, which lead me to the website I am writing to you about now called Jamesallen.com. I looked at tons of sights and I found that Jamesallen had some really good deals. I compared them with many venders, one of the many was Jareds. I found out that Jamesallen sells some of the same diamonds that Jareds offers, but for hundreds less. I mean it, I found the same diamond (specs and item number and all) at both sites and Jamesallen sold it for hundreds less. You can check it out for yourself if you'd like but I thought this was a sweet find and I wanted to share it with all my PL friends.

I spoke with Jamesallen.com and asked if they would be willing to offer a deal to PL members to sweeten the deal a bit and they said that they would be willing to offer a 10% off coupon for the purchase of a ring (center diamond excluded) exclusively to PL members. I don't have the coupon yet, but I will post as soon as I get it.

I have more info if you'd like to know more. I am happy with my purchase, have passed this along to my real life friends, and thought I should let you guys know too. Even if marriage is a sore subject around here for some. And no, I'm not getting anything for posting this, so don't go there.

It sounds like there are others here that have been through bitter divorces. I'm about to give marriage a 3rd try. If I fail at this one then I guess I'll have to give up. Congrats on the engagement!

Actually, I've been married to my best friend since 1987 (got married while in the academy - you should see the pictures). I just playfully say this to all newly engaged couples.

Don't get me wrong, there will be times ya'll will want to strangle each other, but the bottom line is this

1. Do you love each other?

2. Do you want to be together?

If the answer to BOTH questions is yes, then work it out. And dont' be afraid to go to counseling if you need it. As a LEO, you will probably clam up and not talk about the problem. ( That was my problem) It almost cost me my husband, but we worked through it and came out stronger. Hey, he puts up with me !!!! Maybe he needs to be put up for sainthood !!!hahahahaha

LOL... That is how I feel at times, however it is one of the best things I could ever do..

BTW, I got my wife engagment ring from Shaneco.com. We have a local store. I did a payment plan.. Very good customer service..
