I am currently enrolled to complete by BA of criminolgy with an imphasis on forensic psycology. I have a steller resume which includes a variable background such as business owner, director, and case admin for the US Federal Courts. With having that diversity and knowledge, I still find myself wanting to be an Investigative Officer at any level.

My question is... Should I pursue my BA and attend the academy later? Or is that really neccesary because if I have the abilities and work my way up, does it really matter if you have a college degree in criminology. Or do I just need to focus on police academy for now? My ultimate goal is getting to the place where I want to be, I just want to be on the boat that will get me there faster. In my opinion, any career in Law Enforcement is ideal for me, but I am not getting any younger... now is the time. What route would be the best to take? Even with a BA, I still would have to prove myself to be a great investigator by patroling for atleast 1 yr.... right?
